The 44th Convocation of SSSIHL was held with great reverence as part of the Centenary Celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The Hon’ble Vice President of India, Mr CP Radhakrishnan, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and offered prayers at the Maha Sannidhi before proceeding to the Poornachandra Auditorium.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. B Raghavendra Prasad welcomed the gathering and presented notable institutional achievements — including growth in research, award milestones, and multiple new collaborations — all aligned with Bhagawan’s mission of free, values-based education.
The dignitaries, including the Guest of Honour Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr N Chandrababu Naidu and Hon’ble IT Minister Mr Nara Lokesh, were felicitated. Degrees were conferred, the Convocation Pledge was administered, and Gold Medals were awarded by the Chief Guest.
In his address, Mr Nara Lokesh praised the Institute’s focus on character over placements and urged students to lead the nation with values, even by participating in public service and politics.
Mr Chandrababu Naidu highlighted India’s global rise in cutting-edge sectors like AI, defence, and green energy, and inspired students to become innovators and torchbearers of Swami’s teachings — especially “Manava Seva is Madhava Seva.”
Delivering the Chief Guest’s address, the Vice President applauded the discipline and humility of Sai students and emphasized that true education must be rooted in service and national pride. He reflected on India’s growing world stature and urged youth to uphold cultural values while rejecting societal evils.
The ceremony also witnessed the virtual inauguration of the Sri Sathya Sai Bio Bank & Research Hub, symbolizing the integration of Educare and Medicare for societal welfare.
A heartfelt Convocation Song, “Humko Tumse Pyar Kitna,” was offered by the students in gratitude to Bhagawan.
After the announcement of the Convocation’s closure and the National Anthem, the Academic Procession exited, led by the Institute’s Brass Bands — marking the dignified conclusion of this historic and blessed event.
