Gratitude Program by the students from Prasanthi Nilayam Campus, SSSIHL | Mar 15, 2026

As the mercury continues to soar in Puttaparthi, the gratitude program ‘Dhaage Pyaar Ke’ (Threads of Love) by the Postgraduate students of the Prasanthi Nilayam Campus of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning arrived like a gentle breeze, refreshing hearts with soothing music and deeply moving reflections centred on Swami.

The title of the program drew inspiration from a profound message in Bhagawan’s Divine Discourse of July 26, 1999: “Flowers are many, but the thread is one. The flowers may fade away, but the thread remains changeless.” Reflecting on this eternal bond, the students prayed that Swami guide them wherever they go and help them remain anchored to this sacred thread of love.

What made the presentation especially unique was its creative format. Instead of a conventional sequence of songs, the students wove short personal narrations between musical offerings, each reflection naturally leading into the next song or bhajan. The continuous accompaniment of the brass band lent the entire rendition a distinct musical character, making the devotional offering sound refreshingly different from usual presentations.

Complementing the music was a beautiful sand art presentation running in the background. With graceful strokes of modern artistic expression, it portrayed cherished recollections of hostel life, memorable campus moments, and Swami’s timeless messages, visually bringing to life the experiences the students were narrating.

Interspersed with the songs were heartfelt testimonies that reflected the students’ journeys of faith and transformation. Students also reflected on how the Institute gave meaning and purpose to their talents, whether through music, service activities, or collective efforts during major events on campus. Proudly calling themselves ‘Ekatvaas’, the batch offered creatively designed handmade cards at the Lotus Feet, presenting their crafts and talents as tokens of gratitude. As a cherished keepsake, they also presented a diary made of recycled paper, lovingly compiling their memoirs and reflections from their stay in this hallowed haven.
