With the divine blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, a historic and sacred milestone was marked on May 30, 2026, with the consecration of Prasanthi Dham in Plano, Texas, USA – yet another Sai Centre inspired by His divine vision and dedicated to carrying forward His universal mission of love, selfless service, unity, and human values. Envisioned as a spiritual oasis in the heart of the Western world, Prasanthi Dham is set to serve as a beacon of hope and transformation, offering seekers from all backgrounds an opportunity to experience the timeless message of “Love All, Serve All.”
Modelled on the sacred ideals and spiritual ethos of Prasanthi Nilayam, Prasanthi Dham is being developed as a vibrant spiritual campus spread across 9.1 acres in Plano, Texas. The proceedings were graced by Mr RJ Rathnakar, Managing Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, Prasanthi Nilayam, accompanied by members of his family. Office-bearers, senior devotees, and leaders of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council from across the United States also participated in the occasion.
The day’s sacred proceedings commenced at dawn with resonant Vedic chanting, followed by a series of sacred rituals and ceremonies. Following the Rudrabhishekam, Mr Rathnakar addressed the gathering and shared inspiring reflections on the early days of the Pata Mandiram (Old Mandir) in Puttaparthi and its gradual blossoming into Prasanthi Nilayam under Bhagawan’s divine guidance. Drawing a parallel with the journey now unfolding in Texas, he expressed his conviction that Prasanthi Dham too is a manifestation of Bhagawan’s will and is destined to become a centre of peace, devotion, and spiritual awakening for generations to come.
The evening session featured soul-stirring bhajans, followed by short addresses by Mr Axay Kalathia, Chair of Zone 1, SSSGC, and Mr Balu Karanam, National President of SSSGC, USA. Mr Rathnakar reflected on Bhagawan’s global mission and encouraged devotees to remain steadfast in practising and sharing Sai’s teachings through selfless love and service. He underscored the importance of maintaining a strong spiritual connection with Prasanthi Nilayam, the eternal spiritual heart of Bhagawan’s mission.
Drawing a beautiful comparison, he observed that just as Bhagawan’s Brindavan Ashram is situated alongside a railway line, Prasanthi Dham also shares a similar geographical feature, symbolically linking the two sacred centres. Reaffirming his wholehearted support for the project, he expressed his eagerness to visit Prasanthi Dham during its development and once again for its inauguration, a sentiment that was received with great joy by the assembled devotees.
Earlier in the day, Mr Rathnakar also met with alumni of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, senior devotees, and members of the Prasanthi Dham Foundation Board, sharing valuable insights and encouragement as the project continues to take shape.
As the sun set on this memorable day, hearts were filled with gratitude and renewed inspiration. The celebrations concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr Paddy Padmanabhan, President of Region 10, SSSGC USA, followed by Mangala Arati, prasadam, dinner, and warm fellowship among devotees.
