The Sunday evening session at Prasanthi Nilayam witnessed the graduation ceremony of the 2026 Sri Sathya Sai Global Council Young Adult Leadership Program for Self-Transformation (YALST), marking the successful completion of a six-month journey dedicated to cultivating leadership through inner transformation. A total of 94 young adults—39 gents and 55 ladies—from 16 countries across 8 zones received their certificates after completing the structured program, which combined ten online learning modules with a three-day residential retreat at Prasanthi Nilayam.
Following the inauguration of the 2026 Summer Course on Bharatiya Culture and Spirituality at the Poornachandra Auditorium earlier in the day, the evening proceedings in Sai Kulwant Hall commenced with sacred Vedic chants by the students of the Brindavan Campus. This was followed by a concise presentation by a student representative, who beautifully summarised the key insights and takeaways from the inaugural day’s sessions, setting the tone for the evening’s proceedings.
Addressing the graduating batch, Mr Amar Lutchman from Mauritius, Zonal Media Coordinator for Zone 9, reminded the young adults that graduation was not the culmination of their journey but the beginning of a sacred responsibility. Urging them to return to their respective countries with the prayer, “Swami, now use me,” he emphasised that true leadership is measured through selfless service and personal example. Sharing his own spiritual journey, he spoke of the transformative power of gratitude and complete surrender to Bhagawan’s will, affirming that Swami’s grace always precedes His tests. He encouraged the graduates to wear their YALST graduation with pride—not merely as an achievement but as a lifelong commitment to value-based leadership, inspiring peace, purity and noble living wherever they serve.
As an offering of gratitude to Bhagawan, the graduating participants presented a couple of soulful songs followed by a skit ‘Sadacharena Sadgatim Prapnoti’ (Towards the Light of Human Values). The production vividly portrayed the eternal struggle between the six inner enemies—lust, anger, greed, attachment, pride and jealousy—and the transformative power of human values, conveying that constant remembrance of the Divine enables one to overcome these inner obstacles and progress towards self-realisation. The evening concluded with a renewed resolve among the graduates to carry Bhagawan’s message of love and selfless service into the world.
