The second evening of the three-day Parthi Yatra of devotees from Visakhapatnam unfolded in a beautiful celebration of the timeless bond between a mother and her child, as Bal Vikas children and Sai Youth presented an evocative dance-drama titled ‘Janani’ at Prasanthi Nilayam. Through graceful choreography, soulful music and powerful dialogues, Janani explored a love that transcends time, space and even lifetimes — the selfless love of a mother and the gratitude that a child carries for her.
The presentation brought alive inspiring episodes from our sacred traditions. The story of Lord Ganesha circumambulating Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati, declaring that his parents themselves were his entire world, beautifully portrayed the depth of filial devotion. The episode of Adi Shankaracharya, who, even while journeying across the length and breadth of Bharat, remembered his mother’s simple wish and brought the river to her doorstep, highlighted the incomparable place of a mother in a child’s heart. The tender relationship between Lord Krishna and Mother Yashoda added another dimension to this eternal bond — reminding everyone that behind the Divine, there is always the fragrance of motherly love.
The presentation then turned its gaze to the life of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, bringing alive the simple wishes of His mother, Eswaramma. What began as three seemingly simple wishes — for water, healthcare and education — blossomed, through Bhagawan’s Divine Sankalpa, into magnificent institutions and projects that today serve millions.
Earlier in the evening, the District President of Vizag, Mr PRSN Naidu, shared glimpses of the various service activities undertaken by the devotees in the district, reflecting the spirit of love in action that forms the very foundation of the Sai movement.
