On the sacred eve of the Ashadi Ekadashi celebrations at Prasanthi Nilayam, a soul-stirring devotional music program by Ms. Aarya Ambedkar and a dance drama by Bal Vikas children were offered this evening.
Calling this musical offering an auspicious moment in her life, Ms. Aarya fondly recalled her first performance in Bhagawan’s divine presence in 2009, when Swami visited Hadshi and Mumbai. Her temple-bell-like voice reverberated through the hall, enthralling the gathering with mellifluous renditions extolling the glory of Lord Vitthala. Each note sanctified the atmosphere, enveloping everyone in waves of devotion and love.
Following this sublime musical offering was a vibrant dance drama presented by the Balvikas children of Maharashtra West, titled Ekam Sat Viprah Bahudha Vadanti. With grace and conviction, the children brought to life the inspiring story of the poet-saint Narahari Sonar of Pandharpur, renowned for his steadfast devotion to Lord Shiva and his refusal to worship any other form of God.
A craftsman beyond compare, Narahari Sonar was asked to craft a gold waist chain for Vitthala’s idol. Repeated errors led him to measure the deity blindfolded. In that moment, he beheld the vision of Shiva within and Vitthala without—realizing all forms are One. Thus, he embraced the truth that Hara and Hari are but two names of the same Divine.
As the performance concluded, the Balvikas children beautifully affirmed that just as sugar cannot be separated from its sweetness, so too is the inseparable unity between Hara (Shiva) and Hari (Vishnu), and between all forms of God. They emphatically declared that Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba embodies this eternal principle of Truth that permeates every name and form. All names are His, all forms are His, and every path of devotion ultimately converges in the love and teachings of our beloved Bhagawan.
