This evening, the sacred abode of Sai Kulwant Hall basked in a wave of inspiration, joy, and transformation as young adults from 18 countries across 9 Zones came together to celebrate the culmination of the Young Adults Leadership for Self-Transformation (YALST) program, under the auspices of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council.
The YALST program—meticulously designed across five intensive online modules and a three-day immersive residential course—is not merely a curriculum but a journey. A journey from the head to the heart, from information to transformation. And tonight, that transformation radiated from every graduate—heads held high, hearts full of faith, and souls aligned with their divine purpose.
The evening commenced with stirring reflections from two graduating youth leaders—Mr Vimalraj Selvaraj from Malaysia (Zone 5) and Ms Risha Dholakia from the United Kingdom (Zone 6). With emotion and authenticity, they shared how this journey was not about surface-level change but a deep reorientation of the inner compass. One spoke about the importance of practicing Swami’s values from the heart and not the surface, while the other testified to his personal transformation—emphasising that the path of leadership is not about becoming someone great, but about becoming His messenger, for when you are connected to Him, you shall always be protected—not just on Thursdays or Sundays, but every moment of life.
The keynote address was delivered by Mr Soobrie Naidu, Chairman of Zone 9, who has closely followed the program since its inception. He reminded the graduates to count their blessings, for being part of the Avatar’s mission at such a young age is no coincidence—it is grace in action. Expanding on the acronym L.O.V.E. – Living Our Values Everywhere, he beautifully elaborated:
* Love in speech is Sathya (Truth)
* Love in action is Dharma (Righteousness)
* Love in thought is Shanti (Peace)
* Love in understanding is Ahimsa (Nonviolence)
Following these powerful reflections, the graduates received their certificates of completion in a solemn and joyous moment. Mr K Chakravarthi, Chairman of the SSSGC, and Mr RJ Rathnakar, Managing Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, presented the certificates to the male graduates, while Ms Himavahni Rathnakar did the honours for the female graduates, marking the culmination of a sacred commitment to inner growth and outer service.
The evening concluded with a scintillating multi-lingual musical presentation, Yuva Layam at Tava Nilayam—a vibrant bouquet of original compositions offered by the youth themselves. Each note and rhythm pulsed with energy, devotion, and divine inspiration, capturing the very soul of the program and the universal language of Love in Action.
This graduation is not the end of a journey—it is the beginning of many. For in the hearts of these 223 young leaders now echoes a common resolve:“We will live to lead, and lead to serve. And in every thought, word, and deed, be instruments of His love.”
