Pilgrimage to Prasanthi by the devotees from Zone 6 countries of Sri Sathya Sai Global Council | Day 1 | July 28, 2025

The hallowed grounds of Prasanthi Nilayam once again echoed with joy, reverence, and divine longing as over 500 devotees from the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Spain, Norway, Northern Ireland and the Netherlands embarked on a week-long sacred pilgrimage to the Abode of Supreme Peace. This spiritual journey, infused with love, devotion, and unity, is a radiant offering at the Lotus Feet of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

The evening began with a significant procession involving a total of 108 members, including enthusiastic Bal Vikas children, spirited youth, and devoted elders who marched with unwavering pride, carrying the flags of their respective countries high in the air. Draped in cultural pride and spiritual humility, they made their way towards the Sannidhi. Each participant bowed in deep reverence before Bhagawan, symbolising the surrender of ego and the offering of their love.

The highlight of the evening was an inspiring address by long-time devotee Mr Mel Griffin (Former National Council Member, UK), who shared a deeply personal testimony of how the Lord of the Universe, in His mysterious and boundless grace, drew him into His divine mission. Recalling a cherished interview with Swami, Mel emphasised that all who come to Prasanthi are not here by chance but are drawn by the powerful, unseen magnetism of divine love.

He reminded all present that this pilgrimage is not just a journey across continents, it is the sacred journey back to our true home, our inner sanctum of peace. For those visiting Prasanthi for the very first time, he assured: “You will never be the same again.” This journey marks the beginning of a profound transformation, where the outer travel ends, and the inner awakening begins.

In a moving conclusion, Mel reminded everyone that though Bhagawan may no longer walk in the physical form, He is still here—always. His presence is felt in every loving thought, in every selfless act, and in the silence of every yearning heart.

Echoing Swami’s eternal teachings, he urged the devotees:

“Let us love as He loved. Let us serve as He served and in the process, become His messengers.”
