As part of the ongoing week-long pilgrimage by devotees from the United Kingdom and European countries, the evening proceedings commenced with a heartfelt address by Mr Antoni Griera, National President, Spain, SSSGC. With deep reverence, he expressed collective gratitude to Bhagawan for making this sacred journey possible. Speaking in Telugu, he movingly recalled Swami’s divine promise to Mother Eswaramma—that He would never leave Prasanthi Nilayam and would reside there eternally.
Mr Griera thanked the Global Council for its unwavering commitment to bringing overseas devotees closer to the physical presence of Bhagawan, reaffirming the deep spiritual bond with Prasanthi Nilayam by proclaiming, “Our hearts and minds will never leave Puttaparthi, Swami!”
He concluded with a touching personal anecdote, recounting an encounter with Swami. When Bhagawan lovingly asked him, “Where are you from?” he replied, “Spain, Swami.” With heartfelt conviction, he shared how such divine questions remind us all of our true origin—at the lotus feet of Swami.
The spiritual tone of the evening continued with a moving performance by a group of Spanish devotees from Zone 6. Their heartfelt offering, comprising two soulful songs titled ‘Te Amo Baba’ and ‘Señor Shiva’, rendered in Spanish, resonated deeply with the audience. Their raw emotion and sincerity were palpable, touching the hearts of all present.
This was followed by a musical offering from the Italian devotees, which began with the serene and meditative ‘Om Sairam Bhagawan’. The performance continued with ‘Premavatara Hari Narayana’, a beautiful original composition. With harmonizing vocals and a gentle, Bohemian-style guitar accompaniment, their devotion flowed through every note.
The evening culminated in a deeply moving finale with the timeless Sanskrit prayer ‘Twameva Mata Cha Pita Twameva’, followed by a melodious and vibrant Italian song that served as an expression of heartfelt gratitude to their divine Father, Swami, for calling them into His presence.
Notably, this marked the first visit to Prasanthi Nilayam for many of these performers. Their sincere and emotional offerings bore testimony to long-cherished prayers that had finally been fulfilled on this sacred evening.
