Volunteers’ Day | 24th Anniversary Celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Media Centre | Morning Proceedings | Sep 6, 2025

With hearts overflowing with gratitude, the Sri Sathya Sai Media Centre celebrated its 24th Anniversary, a momentous milestone in the Unit’s sacred journey of spreading Bhagawan’s message of love and service across the globe.

It was on the momentous day of 23rd November 2001, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, on His 76th Birthday, lovingly inaugurated Radio Sai Global Harmony, marking the beginning of this divine mission. Soon after, on 29th August 2002, He personally visited the studios, blessing the equipment and the facility, thus sanctifying every corner of this Media Centre.

Since then, guided by His divine grace, the Media Centre has humbly served as an instrument in carrying Swami’s word and wisdom to millions worldwide through multiple platforms and in diverse vernacular languages. As we look back on these 24 glorious years, we can only bow in gratitude for having been chosen as participants in this sacred mission.

The morning session of the celebration began with two senior volunteers sharing their heartfelt experiences of working for Swami through the Media Centre. They reflected on how this opportunity has not only allowed them to serve but also transformed their own lives, becoming a pathway of spiritual growth and inspiration.

The children, representing the Sri Sathya Sai Kids World channel, then lit up the occasion with a charming welcome dance on the theme of Ganesha Mahima, invoking auspicious blessings at the start of the celebration. This was followed by a collective offering from volunteers across all channels in the form of a thematic presentation titled Chamatkar – Sanskar – Paropkar – Sakshatkar, inspired by Bhagawan’s divine discourses, beautifully encapsulating the stages in a devotee’s life.

Marking this special occasion, a commemorative book was released by Mr K Chakravarthi (Chairman – SSSGC) Mr RJ Rathnakar (Managing Trustee – SSSCT) along with Mr Sundar Swaminathan (Director – SSSMC), celebrating the Centre’s journey and its role in carrying Bhagawan’s universal message.

As we now step into the 25th year, a year that coincides with Bhagawan’s Centenary Birth Celebrations, we humbly pray for the strength and dedication to rededicate ourselves with renewed vigour and commitment. May the Media Centre continue to be a shining lamp, carrying Bhagawan’s light of truth, righteousness, peace, love, and non-violence to every corner of the world.
