As the sacred Navaratri celebrations entered the 9th day, Day 6 of the Prasanthi Vidwan Mahasabha brought with it deep spiritual insights and soulful devotion, guiding seekers further on their inner journey. The evening commenced with a resounding invocatory chant by the students of the Brindavan Campus. This sanskrit mantra was especially composed commemorating the Centenary year of Bhagawan’s advent.
The evening session featured an enlightening talk by Dr U Suma, Chairperson, Centre for Sri Sathya Sai Studies, SSSIHL, who beautifully expounded on the profound concept of the Three Granthis — the psychic knots that bind the soul to the body and prevent the free flow of Kundalini Shakti along the subtle spine. She explained how these knots—Brahma Granthi at the Muladhara, Vishnu Granthi at the Anahata, and Rudra Granthi at the Ajna—symbolise mankind’s entanglement with material desires, emotional attachments, and egoistic pride.
Drawing a sublime connection to the life-transforming grace of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Dr Suma illustrated how devotees experience the gradual loosening of these knots through their journey of surrender at His Lotus Feet. From seeking worldly miracles to learning detachment in relationships, and finally dissolving the subtle ego of spiritual attainment, every devotee’s path mirrors the piercing of these granthis. Ultimately, she emphasised, surrender alone is the master key—the conscious offering of all desires, emotions, and identity to the Divine, leading to union with the Lord at the Sahasrara.
The stage was set for a vibrant offering by the students of the Brindavan Campus, who presented a devotional music program titled ‘Madhuram Madhuram Sai Katha’. With energy and devotion, their musical journey traced Bhagawan’s divine saga — from Sathya to Sai — filling Sai Kulwant Hall with sweetness, fervour, and gratitude.
