Vijayadashami | Maha Poornahuti – Grand Conclusion of Veda Purusha Saptaha Jnana Yajnam | Oct 2, 2025

Prasanthi Nilayam was resplendent this morning as the week-long Veda Purusha Saptaha Jnana Yajna drew to a glorious close with the sacred Poornahuti, filling Poornachandra Auditorium with an atmosphere surcharged with divinity, devotion, and deep spiritual fervour.

The crackle of the yajna fire, the resounding chants of the learned priests, and the collective prayers of thousands of devotees created an ambience that was uplifting.

The final offering — Maha Poornahuti — symbolised the culmination of all prayers, sacrifices, and spiritual practices into one supreme act of surrender to the Divine. As the sacred flames leapt heavenward carrying the oblations, devotees folded their hands in silent prayer, many with moist eyes, overwhelmed by the sanctity of the moment. Following the Poornahuti, the priests performed the Samprokshanam, ritually sprinkling the sanctified waters charged with the yajna’s divine vibrations.

Adding to the grandeur of the occasion was the distribution of Maha Anna Prasadam. In a touching display of love and unity, more than 10,000 devotees were lovingly served a sumptuous prasadam meal. The sight of long rows of devotees relishing the sanctified food in serene gratitude evoked the image of Mother Sai personally caring for each child, ensuring no one left unfed — physically or spiritually.

The atmosphere was one of celebration and fulfilment — the culmination of a week of intense spiritual vibrations that began on Prasanthi’s sacred soil.
