With the divine blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, a new chapter of Sai glory unfolded in Kalwakurthy town, Nagarkurnool district, Telangana, as Mr RJ Rathnakar, Managing Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, inaugurated the newly constructed Sri Sathya Sai Mandir, a towering symbol of devotion and unity.
The inauguration ceremony was a grand and heartwarming gathering, attended by nearly 2,000 devotees. Dignitaries such as Mr K Narayana Reddy, MLA and other senior functionaries of the Organisation attended the occasion.
Spread across one acre of serene land, this beautiful three-storeyed Mandir stands as a labour of love — a shining symbol of collective devotion and tireless seva by the Sai fraternity of this spiritually vibrant region.
The ground floor, dedicated entirely to spiritual activities, houses a spacious bhajan hall that can accommodate over 800 devotees at once, with a beautifully adorned altar radiating the Divine Presence of Bhagawan. The upper floors are thoughtfully designed to host various seva activities of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Telangana.
Kalwakurthy, long known for its ardent devotees, has always shared a special bond with Prasanthi Nilayam. Many sevadal volunteers attend major festivals in Prasanthi and can be sighted quite frequently distributing drinking water to devotees — carrying water cans on their backs as an offering of pure love and humility at His Lotus Feet.
In the auspicious Centenary Year of Bhagawan, this new Mandir is both a celebration and a reaffirmation of faith — a beacon of His ever-expanding mission in the smaller towns and villages across India.
As bhajans reverberated and the newly installed idol of Bhagawan was unveiled amidst chants and joy, the devotees felt Swami’s unseen presence pervading every inch of the space — sanctifying the occasion and blessing the noble endeavour.
Truly, the new Mandir at Kalwakurthy stands as a testament to Swami’s eternal message — that His mission will continue to grow and blossom wherever there are hearts filled with love and hands ready to serve.
