Teaser and Audio Launch of ‘Anantha’ Movie at the Music Academy, Chennai | Nov 10, 2025

With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, a new chapter of spiritual cinema unfolded at the metro city of Chennai, with the official teaser and audio launch of the film Anantha — a heartfelt offering created as part of the Centenary Celebrations of the Avatar of the Age.

Produced under the banner ’Inner View’, Anantha is written and directed by Mr Suresh Krissna, renowned for timeless films like Annamalai and Baasha. The film is dedicated by Mr Girish Krishnamurthy (CEO & MD, Tata Medical and Diagnostics Ltd) with music composed by Thenisai Thendral Deva. It features a stellar ensemble of artistes, including Jagapathi Babu, Suhasini, YG Mahendran, Thalaivasal Vijay, and others. More than a film, Anantha is a cinematic prayer — a soulful hymn of gratitude at the Lotus Feet of Swami.

The Vision: When Cinema Becomes Sadhana

Speaking about the film, Director Suresh Krissna shared, “We are delighted to share a glimpse of our forthcoming feature film that brings together five extraordinary stories, five lives touched by the infinite grace of the Divine.” Together, these vignettes weave a cinematic hymn to Faith, Love, and Surrender — an echo of Swami’s timeless assurance: “Love alone is God, and God is Love.”

The Music: Notes of Devotion

Music Director Deva described this opportunity as a rare blessing — “poorva janma phalam,” the fruit of merit earned in a previous birth. During a composition session, the song “Annai Neeye, Thanthai Neeye” poured forth in a single, spontaneous burst of inspiration — a tune born not of intellect, but of inner prayer. Each song in Anantha carries this fragrance of devotion — music that stirs the soul before it entertains the ear.

Mr Girish mentioned that Anantha is, at its heart, not a film but a living offering — a prayer in motion. Even in today’s digital world, His form, His message, and His presence continue to radiate through millions of hearts and screens — timeless, tender, and transformative. This film becomes a humble continuation of that divine chronicle — a celebration of the Infinite (Anantha) love that guides, protects, and uplifts every being.

Guided by Divine Insight

Providing the philosophical compass for this sacred endeavour was Mr RJ Rathnakar, Managing Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, who personally guided the creative team on the deeper spiritual truths that form the heart of the film. He encouraged the writers to weave into the narrative those teachings of Bhagawan that continue to transform lives.

He reminded the gathering that Bhagawan first set His divine foot in Tamil Nadu in the year 1943 — a time when the land was still raw, the roads were rough, and conveniences were few. Yet, what brought Him here was the pure, selfless love of devotees. Despite the simplicity of the era and the lack of facilities, Swami was received with unmatched devotion and cared for with deep love and reverence. That same spirit of love and discipline, Rathnakar noted, continues to define every Sai institution and activity to this day.

A Different Kind of Film Launch

After offering initial prayers at ‘Sundaram’ (Bhagawan’s abode in Chennai), Mr Rathnakar observed that perhaps for the first time in the history of Indian cinema, Sai bhajans were sung before the start of a film’s audio launch. The entire atmosphere was charged with devotion and discipline, a reflection of how Sri Sathya Sai institutions conduct every endeavour — with sanctity, decorum, and dedication to the Divine.
