Pedalling with Purpose, United in Devotion
As part of the Centenary Celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Cycling Event was flagged off at the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning – Brindavan Campus, Bengaluru.
With heartfelt prayers to Swami, the event began with a tree-planting ceremony by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof B Raghavendra Prasad, followed by his address and the flag-off that marked the official start of this sacred journey. The ceremony was graced by Dr Srikanth Khanna (Registrar, SSSIHL), amidst the presence of functionaries and dignitaries of SSSIHL and SSSO.
A total of over 150 participants — Students, Alumni, and Institute staff — came together in spirit and strength, pedalling 161 km from Brindavan to the Karma Bhoomi and Janma Bhoomi of Bhagawan, Puttaparthi — symbolising devotion, unity, and determination, and reminding the world that true fitness begins with a selfless heart.
A Ride of Sustainability, Awareness & Inclusivity
S.A.I.cling 4 S.A.I. embodies the values of Sustainability (S), Awareness (A), and Inclusivity (I) — echoing the ideals of the Fit India Cycling Drive initiated by the Government of India.
Just as the national movement promotes cycling for fitness and environmental consciousness, this spiritual expedition inspires youth to ride for the planet, for society, and for selfless service.
Despite the chilly early morning weather, the students set out right on schedule, fully equipped with safety gear and guided by a shared spirit of purpose. As they traverse the scenic route from Bengaluru to Puttaparthi, they uphold the true spirit of discipline and safety — strictly following traffic rules, maintaining lane discipline, and riding in perfect coordination. Accompanying staff members are ensuring that the entire expedition runs smoothly and safely.
The team will be halting tonight at Bagepalli — on the Andhra–Karnataka border — and will reach Prasanthi Nilayam tomorrow, completing their journey of love and purpose.
Let every turn of the wheel echo Bhagawan’s message — “Love All, Serve All.”
Join the movement. Ride with purpose. Live with awareness.
