‘Sanmargadarshi Shatchakravarthy’ – Drama Presentation by the students of Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School | Jan 12, 2026

In an age where glowing screens often eclipse glowing hearts, the evening drama presented by members of Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School stood as a compassionate yet cautionary mirror to contemporary society. With sensitivity and spiritual depth, the presentation addressed one of the most pressing challenges of our times—the silent but sweeping crisis of digital addiction. Rather than narrating a single story, it reflected a reality many households are silently living today—the growing dominance of screens over relationships, and convenience over connection.

The drama unfolds through the life of a young Gen-Z student whose world gradually shrinks into the confines of gaming consoles and social media feeds. Ironically, his father who is a successful CEO spearheading national digital reforms, remains oblivious to the digital prison forming within his own home. What begins as casual screen usage soon snowballs into an obsession, subtly replacing conversations, affection, and eye contact.

A powerful takeaway from the drama was the need for decisive correction. Harmful habits, it conveyed, cannot be abandoned gradually; they must be dropped immediately, just as one would instinctively drop a snake upon realising the danger. Yet abstinence alone is not enough. Empty spaces must be filled with positive alternatives—healthy routines, meaningful engagement, and value-based living—because darkness recedes only when light is introduced. Through evocative analogies and deeply moving moments, Sanmargadarshi Shatchakravarthy gently urged introspection rather than judgement. It reminded us that technology must remain a tool in our hands—not a master of our minds.

Following the thought-provoking drama, the school announced the 2025 Board Examination results. All 111 Class 12 students passed with distinction, achieving a perfect 100% result, with the highest score at 97.6% and an impressive class average of 88.75%. The Class 10 results were equally commendable, with the top score at 98.2% and an overall average of 86.4%. The achievers were honoured by the dignitaries—Mr K Chakravarthi (Chairman, SSSGC), Mr RJ Rathnakar (Managing Trustee, SSSCT), and Ms Himavahni Rathnakar—in the divine presence, marking the moment with gratitude and reverence.
