Bhakti Swaroopa Hanuman – Drama by the Students of SSSIHL Men’s Campuses | Jan 15, 2026

On the concluding evening of the Annual Sports & Cultural Meet 2026, the Men’s Campuses of the Sri Sathya Sai Institutions presented a drama portraying the eternal glory of Lord Hanuman.

The drama opens with Amit, a student who has been part of the institution for several years, yet finds himself troubled by a lingering question—what does true devotion to Swami truly mean? Guided by his teacher, he turns to the life of Lord Hanuman, and through beautifully chosen episodes, the audience journeys through Hanuman’s life of love, surrender, and service.

Through listening (shravanam) to the glory of Lord Rama, Hanuman develops profound love for His name even before meeting Him. In Ravana’s court, he fearlessly proclaims Rama’s greatness through singing His glory (kirtanam). At the coronation of Lord Rama, every hair on Hanuman’s body vibrates with the Lord’s name, exemplifying constant remembrance (Vishnu smaranam). Ever eager to serve, Hanuman remains steadfast at the Lord’s feet through service (pada sevanam) and offers even the snapping of his fingers as worship (archanam). Despite lifting the mighty Dronagiri mountain, Hanuman’s ego remains absent, reflecting deep reverence (vandanam). At every moment of his life, Hanuman considers Rama’s wish as his own command, living the ideal of servitude (daasyam). Through his absolute loyalty and love, he becomes as dear to Rama through friendship (sakhyam) as the Lord’s own brothers.

The drama culminates in a poignant final scene—the last conversation between Lord Rama and Hanuman—where the Lord grants Hanuman the supreme boon of eternal service through total surrender (atma nivedanam).

With meticulously crafted costumes, ethereal backdrops, larger-than-life props rich in detail, and melodious compositions breathing life into every scene, the students transformed the Sai Kulwant Hall into a serene haven of the Ramakatha.
