A Global Tribute to 100 Years of Sri Sathya Sai Love and Service | Nov 24, 2025

On the felicitous occasion of the centenary of the advent of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba — celebrated across the State of Andhra Pradesh — a grand essay writing competition was conducted at three distinct levels. At the high school level, students explored the theme “Duty is God”, while junior college entrants wrote on “Tomorrow’s future depends on what we do today,” and degree college participants reflected on “Transform yourself to transform the world.” A total of 4,182 educational institutions, and 1,73,030 students rallied for this noble endeavour, with 3,360 schools (1,32,136 students), 566 junior colleges (25,684 students) and 256 degree colleges (15,210 students) participating. At the conclusion of district-level rounds, the State-level gold medals and honours were reserved for exceptional winners in both Telugu and English media. The distribution honours were performed by Ms Himavahni Rathnakar and functionaries of SSSSO, India.

In a fitting offering of service and stewardship, the annual report of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust was formally presented, reflecting the Trust’s commitment to education, health and welfare in the footsteps of Bhagawan’s inspiring life.

Earlier in the morning, another distinguished recognition was offered at the Mahasamadhi. In an official correspondence, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has issued an official proclamation, and a delegation including Dr Upendra Chivukula, acknowledged the work of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council (SSSGC) and the SSSCT for their worldwide humanitarian and educational outreach, and this letter was respectfully offered at the Mahasamadhi.
