With the divine blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, a significant milestone in His mission of value-based education was marked on Thursday with the Commencement of Construction of a new women’s hostel at the Anantapur Campus of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning.
The sacred ceremony was performed by Mr RJ Rathnakar (Managing Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust) and Dr B Raghavendra Prasad (Vice Chancellor, SSSIHL) in the presence of members of the family of Late Dr Kishan Gadhia, Mr Danesh Gadhia, Mr Sanjay Gadhia, Institute functionaries, faculty, staff, students and distinguished guests.
Planned as a modern residential facility with a built-up area of over 1.5 lakh square feet, the hostel will accommodate nearly 1,500 students and will be developed in phases. Designed to provide contemporary amenities while preserving the spiritual and disciplined ethos of campus life, the project reflects the continued commitment of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust to strengthening Bhagawan’s educational institutions.
The Anantapur Campus holds a special place in Bhagawan’s educational mission. Established in July 1968 as a pioneering institution for women’s education, it has nurtured generations of young women through a unique blend of academic excellence and character development.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, a renovated Guest House for visiting faculty, scholars and guests was also inaugurated, further enhancing the campus infrastructure in support of its expanding academic activities. The new hostel stands as a testament to Bhagawan’s vision of empowering women through holistic education and nurturing future generations rooted in human values and selfless service.
