What a mesmerising, heart-stirring celebration unfolded this morning at Prasanthi Nilayam! The Sai Kulwant Hall was awash in colour, devotion, and jubilant energy as devotees and pilgrims from Maharashtra and Goa gathered in sacred communion for the Ashadi Ekadashi festivities.
The serene voices of Vedam chanting enveloped the hall in divine vibrations, setting the perfect prelude. Traditionally attired Warkaris blew conches, heralding the arrival of Sai Vitthala in the vibrant Dindi Palkhi procession.
Bal Vikas children, gracefully dressed as saints and seers whose devotion to Lord Vitthala is etched in history, walked in solemn reverence, singing soulful kirtans and bhajans. Each child bowed before Sai Vitthala in a touching gesture of devotion.
A beautifully adorned palkhi carrying Bhagawan’s photograph and the idols of Vitthala and Rakhumai was brought forward in a graceful procession, resplendent with fragrant blossoms and heartfelt fervour. The Warkaris reminded everyone that their pilgrimage is not merely a walk to Pandharpur, but a journey within—their feet perhaps physically weary, but their hearts utterly blissful.
The celebration continued with a Katha Sankirtan presentation by the Bal Vikas children. They brought alive folk narratives with the captivating dances of Bharud and Ghondhad, blending storytelling and devotion into an enchanting offering.
All around, devotees adorned in festive sarees and kurtas—rich maroons, vibrant saffrons, and pristine whites—painted a living canvas of faith. Faces gleamed with joy, hands joined in prayer. Some sang with abandon; others sat in silent, rapt contemplation.
The spirit of community was palpable—pilgrims from across India united as one family, chanting, smiling, and sharing prasadam, creating an aura of love and togetherness. Verses and hymns reverberated in unison, filling every corner of the hall with a spiritual resonance that touched every heart. Hands were raised in bhakti, heads bowed in surrender in collective adoration.
This morning session was nothing short of radiant—a vivid symphony of colour, sound, devotion, and unity. The celebration not only honoured centuries-old traditions but also rekindled the divine spark within every soul present.
