Celebrating the Culmination of the Sri Sathya Sai Run & Ride and Sri Sathya Sai Divya Jyotis Initiatives | July 26, 2026

The sacred precincts of Prasanthi Nilayam witnessed the grand culmination of the nationwide Sri Sathya Sai Run & Ride for the Spirit of Unity and the Sri Sathya Sai Divya Jyoti initiatives on Sunday morning, marking the successful completion of two of the most inspiring centenary offerings to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Launched during the Centenary Celebrations in August 2025, these unique initiatives united people across the length and breadth of Bharat through the ideals of love, service, fitness and national harmony. Representatives from different states marched in a humble procession, reverentially offering their gratitude for the blessed opportunity to participate in these historic initiatives. The proceedings commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the esteemed elders.

Presenting an overview of the Sri Sathya Sai Divya Jyoti, Mr Amit Dubey (State President, Madhya Pradesh) described the extraordinary journey of the five sacred torches that traversed 29 states, covering more than 37,000 kilometres while carrying Bhagawan’s message of unity, peace and selfless service to every corner of the nation. More than a physical journey, he noted, it awakened countless individuals to the ideals of unity, love and selfless service, reminding all that the true light is the divine spark within every heart.

Mr Lakshmikanth Sharma (National Youth Coordinator) then shared the remarkable achievements of the Run & Ride for the Spirit of Unity, which witnessed the participation of 1,20,100 runners and cyclists across 46 cities, collectively covering 7,20,600 kilometres. Conducted entirely through voluntary participation without any registration fee, the initiative, organised in collaboration with the Government of India’s Fit India movement, beautifully blended physical fitness with spiritual values through Veda chanting, ceremonial lamp lighting and prayers at every venue.

A commemorative report titled ‘Sri Sathya Sai Run & Ride: A National Chronicle’ was released by the dignitaries in the divine presence.

Delivering the valedictory address, Mr Nimish Pandya (AIP, SSSSO) reflected on the deeper significance of the initiatives, reminding the gathering that every accomplishment belongs to God alone and that devotees are merely instruments in His Divine Mission. He noted that the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations continue to stand as one of the world’s largest voluntary movements, dedicated not merely to serving society but also to transforming oneself through selfless service. Reiterating Bhagawan’s timeless messages of “Unity in Diversity” and “Love All, Serve All”, he observed that the true success of the Run & Ride and Divya Jyoti initiatives lay not in the kilometres covered but in the countless hearts awakened to the path of love, unity and selfless service.
