Christmas celebrations at Prasanthi Nilayam commenced in a joyful and prayerful atmosphere with the ceremonial inauguration of a magnificent 50-foot-tall Christmas tree, beautifully decorated and installed at the main entrance near the Ganesha Gate. Notably, last year’s tree stood at 30 feet, making this year’s grand installation even more special and eagerly awaited by devotees.
As twilight descended, large numbers of devotees gathered with hearts filled with devotion and festive anticipation to witness the unveiling of this majestic Christmas tree—a radiant symbol of hope, love, and divine blessings. The entire area was adorned with festive decorations, enhancing the sacred and celebratory ambience. Adding to the charm of the occasion, a cheerful Santa Claus stood beside the tree, delighting devotees, young and old alike.
The ceremonial inauguration was graciously performed by Mr RJ Rathnakar, Managing Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, formally marked the commencement of the Christmas celebrations at Prasanthi Nilayam.
The ceremony was further enriched by the melodious rendering of Christmas carols, which filled the air with joy and devotion. Classic hymns such as O Christmas Tree, Joy to the World, and Silent Night resonated through the gathering, creating an atmosphere charged with divine vibrations and festive cheer.
Devotees from diverse cultures and backgrounds came together as one Sai family, beautifully reflecting the spirit of unity in diversity that Bhagawan always exemplified. Their collective prayers and heartfelt gratitude transformed the evening into a sacred celebration of love, faith, and togetherness, ushering in the Christmas festivities on a note of light, joy, and unity.
