On the sacred occasion of Ratha Saptami, the concluding evening of the three-day Global Veda Conference unfolded in a deeply uplifting and sanctified atmosphere at Sai Kulwant Hall. The evening commenced with resonant chanting of Sri Rudram by the participants, filling the hall with purity and reverence as devotees celebrated the advent of Lord Surya, the eternal light enshrined within every heart.
Marking four and a half years of the National Vedic Learning Initiative, two significant releases followed. The Sri Sathya Sai Shruti Vaibhavam app was launched, offering a virtual window to the Vedic exhibition and its sacred artefacts for a wider global audience. This was accompanied by the release of ‘Raso Vai Saha’, a handbook compiling Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s discourses on the Vedas, serving as a guiding reference for the ongoing revival of Vedic learning.
Mr Subramanyam Gorti then shared insights into the inspiring journey of the Sri Sathya Sai Samyukta Shruti Shreni, highlighting its seamless evolution and its dedicated effort toward bringing uniformity in Vedic chanting across Sai Samithis nationwide. He outlined the rigorous sadhana, region-specific pronunciation refinements, structured auditions, and grading systems that form the backbone of this sacred endeavour.
Elaborating further, Mr Vedanarayanan underscored self-transformation as the very heart of Bhagawan’s Vedic mission. Recounting Swami’s meticulous guidance and encouragement in Vedic chanting, he reaffirmed that the Vedas are not merely to be chanted, but lived, leading one towards the realisation of oneness.
A deeply moving moment followed as teachers and resource persons took a solemn pledge, reaffirming their commitment to serve the Vedic movement with love, dedication, and unwavering resolve.
The evening concluded with a graceful cultural offering titled ‘Nateshwari Lasya’ by the students of Sri Sathya Sai School, Pankapal, Odisha, making their first-ever offering at Prasanthi Nilayam. Through the classical Odissi dance form, the young girls beautifully portrayed various facets of the Divine Mother, captivating the audience with their synchrony, expressive artistry, and devotion.
