Conclusion of Ekadasha Rudra Parayanam | Apr 25, 2026

Revered as the Veda Purusha, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba incarnated to nurture, revive, and re-establish the sacred Vedic tradition (Veda Poshana) for the welfare of humanity. As part of the ongoing centenary celebrations marking His Divine Advent, the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, India, offered a profound expression of gratitude through an extraordinary nationwide spiritual endeavour.

Blessed beyond measure to chant the Sri Rudram at all the twelve revered Jyotirlinga kshetras of Bharat—from Somnath in the West to Baidyanath at Deoghar in the East, from Kedarnath in the North to Rameswaram in the South, Sai devotees brought this sanctified journey to a deeply moving culmination this morning, April 25, 2026, at the very Punyabhoomi and Karmabhoomi of Bhagawan – Puttaparthi, basking in His unseen yet ever-present Divine Grace.

Following the traditional Sankalpam and preparatory rituals held inside the Bhajan Hall, the solemn proceedings moved to Sai Kulwant Hall, where revered dignitaries commenced the three-and-a-half-hour-long Ekadasha Rudra Parayanam with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The spiritually surcharged atmosphere resonated with the powerful intonations of the Sri Rudram, chanted eleven times (Ekadasha), with the Chamakam interspersed between each avrutti, forming a sacred rhythmic offering of devotion and surrender.

What made this offering even more unique was its global participation: while thousands were physically present in mandir, countless devotees from across all Zones of the SSSGC, transcending continents and time zones, stayed awake through the night, uniting in this sacred offering through online platforms created by SSSMC, making the culmination of this Rudropasana a truly global act of Aradhana.

Even as Sai Kulwant Hall overflowed with devotees, Bhagawan’s gentle grace was tangibly felt as a cool, soothing breeze swept through, softening the intensity of the heat. It was as though nature itself joined in devotion, bearing silent testimony to His unseen, all-pervading presence.

And then came a moment that words can scarcely capture.
As the Kshama Prarthana, the humble plea for forgiveness, was being chanted with folded hands and melting hearts, a large flower gently descended upon Bhagawan’s Sannidhi. In that sacred instant, time seemed to pause. It was as though Bhagawan Himself had accepted the offering… a silent, tender assurance of His Omnipresence… a loving acknowledgment of the collective sadhana placed at His Lotus Feet.

The sacred Parayanam concluded with the chanting of Shanti Mantras, along with the deeply moving universal prayer: “Anayasena Maranam, Vina Dhainyena Jivanam”—seeking a peaceful end, a life of dignity, and unwavering devotion to the Divine.

May all beings in all the worlds be happy.
