Blossoming Devotion and Talent – Cultural Presentations by Sai Students

This morning at Prasanthi Nilayam, a vibrant celebration of devotion and talent blossomed, as children from various Sri Sathya Sai Schools, who are here on a two-day sacred pilgrimage, offered their heartfelt cultural presentations at Bhagawan’s Lotus Feet.

The programme began on a highly sanctifying note with the girls from Sri Sai Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Tirupur, and Sri Sathya Sai Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Erode, Tamil Nadu resonating the hall with soul-elevating Vedic chants, filling the atmosphere with purity and serenity.

What followed was a musical feast – a delightful and seamless ensemble of instruments presented by the students of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, GAIL, Vijaipur, Madhya Pradesh. Aptly titled ‘Sai Symphony’, 35 children playing 9 violins, 9 tablas, 4 sitars, 6 harmoniums, 3 flutes along with mandolin, xylophone and other instruments poured their hearts into a devotional instrumental performance that lifted the spirits of the gathering, harmonising rhythm, melody, and devotion into a single offering.

The stage then came alive with the dance drama – Jaladhara, presented by students of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Macherla, Andhra Pradesh. With powerful expressions and thought-provoking narration, the children brought to the forefront the importance of conserving water, highlighting mankind’s misuse and abuse of this most precious gift of Nature, and driving home the message of responsibility towards creation.

The morning’s offering concluded with a soulful Ramakatha rendition by the children of Darjeeling Montessori House of Children, Darjeeling, West Bengal. Their presentation titled Reminiscing our Mother and Father was steeped in devotion, rekindling in every heart the timeless message of reverence and gratitude towards one’s parents – the very first Gods on Earth.

Indeed, each performance was not just a display of skill, but a reflection of values deeply instilled by the Sai educational system – where learning is harmoniously blended with character building and devotion. The children, through their sincerity, discipline, and creativity, reminded everyone present of Bhagawan’s message that true education is that which refines the heart and elevates the soul.
