Cultural Offerings by the Bal Vikas Children from Telangana | Day 1 – Morning Session | Aug 9, 2025

The holy precincts of Prasanthi Nilayam resonated with love, devotion, and the joyous voices of over 2,500 Bal Vikas children and their parents who arrived for a special two-day Parthi Yatra titled ‘Kritajnata Sambaralu’ – a festival of gratitude, in this sacred Centenary Year of our Beloved Master. This pilgrimage is not merely a journey to Puttaparthi, but a heartfelt return to the very Source, to offer thanks for His ceaseless love and guidance.

The morning session commenced with the Bal Vikas girls uniting in one melodious and powerful voice, chanting the sacred Vedam, creating an atmosphere charged with divine vibrations. This was followed by an exquisite invocatory performance – the Swagatam Dance – rendered with poise and grace by the girls, symbolically welcoming the Lord into the hearts of all present.

Mr Harinath Reddy, State Education Coordinator, then addressed the gathering, elaborating on the various transformative activities undertaken by the Bal Vikas wing under the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations. He spoke about how these programs have not only shaped the lives of children but have also brought about a profound transformation in their families, nurturing values-based living in society. Of special note was the signing of an MoU with the Government of Telangana, under which carefully trained and curated Bal Vikas teachers will be specially designated to Government schools to impart Bhagawan’s message through structured value-based education – a historic step towards taking Swami’s ideals to thousands more young hearts.

A heartwarming testimony came from young Ms Sainayana, a Group 2 Bal Vikas student, who shared how her teachers taught her that chanting OM is like having a “hotline to the Divine,” and that regular prayer keeps one constantly connected to God. Her words reflected the depth of learning and faith instilled in young hearts through the Bal Vikas movement.

The children then offered a devotional musical segment – Padya Suktulu – soulfully singing Bhagawan’s own poems, delving into their meaning, and narrating how each teaching can be applied in day-to-day life. The sincerity, clarity, and joy with which they presented this offering left the audience deeply moved, serving as a reminder that Swami’s message lives on vibrantly in the youngest members of His fold.
