Day 3 of the Summer Course at the Anantapur Campus unfolded as a sublime confluence of learning, reflection, and deep gratitude to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, who laid the very foundation of this noble enterprise of integral education.
The evening began on a sacred note with vibrant Vedam chanting by the women students, whose resonant voices filled the hall with uplifting vibrations.
Delivering a deeply stirring keynote address, Dr US Vishal Rao, Country Director of Surgical Oncology at HCG Cancer Centre, Bengaluru, shared his profound insights on the true spirit of healthcare. He reminded the gathering that the patient standing before a physician is none other than God Himself, offering the sacred chance to serve. With conviction and compassion, he emphasised that the true mark of a healthy society lies not in the proliferation of hospitals but in the culture of prevention, awareness, and collective responsibility. Concluding his talk, he offered heartfelt gratitude to Bhagawan, calling for a renewed commitment to healing—of both body and society.
A momentous milestone then graced the evening: the unveiling of the crest of the Sri Sathya Sai Research and Innovation Foundation, bearing the timeless motto – ‘Paropakarartham Idam Shareeram’ —This body is meant for the welfare of others. Esteemed dignitaries joined in this historic release. The crest, anchored in the five eternal pillars—Sathya, Dharma, Shanti, Prema, and Ahimsa—stands as a beacon of Swami’s vision for research rooted in values and service to humanity.
The evening’s celebrations were further uplifted by the commemoration of the 54th anniversary of Swami’s maiden campus of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning—Anantapur. The students offered an evocative audio-visual presentation titled Edifice of Eternal Education, which transported everyone back to the early years of this pioneering institution. The narrative, portrayed as a tender and nostalgic celestial conversation between the late Professor Kasturi and Mother Eswaramma, rekindled memories of Bhagawan’s tireless resolve to empower women through education—a vision that has transformed countless lives.
Every anecdote of Swami’s grace was woven together with stirring songs of gratitude, as rare archival footage and photographs illuminated milestones of the campus. The presentation was more than a tribute—it was a testament to the divine saga of love, sacrifice, and the creation of a sanctuary for holistic learning.
Emphasising the unique bond between the Anantapur Campus and the Summer Course, the students highlighted how Swami Himself spent countless days here, personally guiding generations of young minds towards the treasures of Bharatiya culture and the practice of universal human values.
