Day 2 – Evening Session | 8th National Convention of Sri Sathya Sai National Council for Schools | Oct 25, 2026

With the divine blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the concluding session of the 8th National Convention of Sri Sathya Sai Schools at Prasanthi Nilayam was marked by a series of inspiring cultural presentations celebrating the ideals of freedom, self-transformation and value-based education.

The proceedings commenced with the sacred chanting of invocatory Vedam by the boys from Bejjanki and Odisha, invoking Bhagawan’s blessings. This was followed by a vibrant Villupattu presentation, a traditional storytelling art form of Southern India, by the girls of Sri Vishwa Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Vandalur. Through the powerful verses of Mahakavi Subramania Bharati, the presentation highlighted the multifaceted dimensions of freedom — from physical independence and mental awakening to emotional resilience and, ultimately, spiritual liberation.

This was followed by a captivating dance skit titled Swaraj of the Soul, presented by the students of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Visakhapatnam, exploring the inner journey towards self-mastery and the realisation of one’s true potential. Adding to the evocative presentations, the students of Sri Sathya Sai Jnanapeeta, Bhadravathi, staged a skit titled True Freedom, conveying the message that genuine freedom extends beyond external circumstances to encompass discipline, character, self-control and adherence to human values.

A special highlight of the concluding session was the presentation of the Vishishtha Gurujan Samman, honouring two distinguished educators for their lifetime contributions and dedicated service to the cause of education. The awards were conferred in the divine presence upon Mr S K Sachdeva, Indore, and Ms Kalyani Sunderarajan, Chennai.

The concluding session thus brought the 8th National Convention to a meaningful close, reaffirming Bhagawan’s vision of Educare, education that draws out the inherent human values of Truth, Right Conduct, Peace, Love and Non-violence. The convention renewed the collective resolve of educators and school leaders to make education a transformative journey that shapes not merely informed minds, but also compassionate hearts and exemplary human beings.
