The second day of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Bal Vikas Gurus’ Conference 2026 unfolded around the theme, “Nurturing Hearts.”
The morning session commenced with an introduction by Dr Pushpalata from Jharkhand, who reminded the gathering that the sacred responsibility of a Bal Vikas Guru extends far beyond the classroom. Emphasising that “every home is a Bal Vikas class and every parent is a Guru,” she called upon educators to nurture hearts through unconditional love, selfless service, and personal example.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr Sai Lakshmi Yogeshwaran from Sri Lanka, who defined Bal Vikas as the ‘Blossoming of Human Excellence’ and explained that Gurus are privileged instruments chosen to forge a lifelong relationship between the child and the Divine. She described Bhakti as the inspiration behind Seva, while Seva becomes the natural fulfilment of devotion.
The evening session opened with a concise review of the day’s proceedings by Ms Padma Ayygari from Australia, who highlighted the importance of conveying Bhagawan’s teachings in their pristine purity. She reflected on the memorable ‘Bicycle Analogy’, where the Guru provides direction like the front wheel while parents offer steady support like the rear wheel, enabling the child’s balanced journey through life.
The keynote address of the evening was delivered by Dr Punita Upadhyay, Deputy National Education Coordinator. Drawing upon Bhagawan’s guidance, “First be, then do, then tell,” she explained that a Guru’s greatest qualification is personal transformation through sincere sadhana. Bal Vikas, she noted, is a journey of mutual transformation in which both Guru and child grow together.
The day concluded with a deeply touching devotional music presentation titled ‘Celebrate the Lord of Love’, offered by Bal Vikas alumni from the SSSGC. Presented as a reflective journey through the ‘Village of the Human Heart’, the program portrayed humanity’s longing for lasting peace and the transformative arrival of the Divine, who silently enters every heart as a compassionate mother, loving guide, and eternal companion. Through soulful narration, devotional songs, and moving reflections, the presentation conveyed that true prayer is an inward journey and that God’s love unfailingly responds to the sincere call of the heart
