The third day of the 2nd Global Vedic Conference unfolded as a profound confluence of Vedic wisdom, science, education, and spiritual practice, guided by four distinguished speakers who illuminated the timeless relevance of the Vedas in contemporary life.
Dr Pravir Malik opened the proceedings with a thought-provoking exploration of light as the foundation of consciousness and creation. Drawing from systems thinking and Vedic insights, he presented light as the carrier of intact information, enabling space-time, matter, and life itself, while revealing striking parallels between cosmic principles and biological structures.
Focusing on value-based education, Dr BG Pitre elaborated on Sri Sathya Sai Educare, distinguishing it from conventional education. Through simple yet powerful illustrations, he highlighted that true learning emerges from within and proposed practical ways to integrate human values through environment, service, and experiential learning.
Mr SS Naganand then reflected on Veda Poshana as an integral part of Bhagawan’s Avataric mission. Emphasising the universal nature of the Vedas, he spoke on their scientific relevance, including ongoing research on the impact of Vedic chanting, and the breaking of social barriers in Vedic learning.
Concluding the session, Mr Nimish Pandya outlined the way forward, urging seekers to move from knowledge to practice. Stressing collective chanting and grassroots participation, he envisioned the Vedas as a living force for unity, joy, and inner transformation.
The day culminated with the collective affirmation of the Prasanthi Declaration, reaffirming a shared commitment to ethical living, spiritual practice, and the realisation of human unity through Vedic principles. Anchored in the ideal of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the world as one family—the declaration was envisioned not as a culmination, but as a beginning for continued dialogue and collective responsibility, affirming the all-pervasive divinity that unites creation. Marking its formal adoption, the participants reverently chanted the Ano Bhadra Suktam, invoking noble thoughts to arise from all directions and guide humanity toward peaceful harmony.
