The sixth day of the Prasanthi Vidwan Mahasabha, being held as part of the sacred Devi Navaratri and Dasara celebrations at Prasanthi Nilayam, featured an insightful talk by Prof R Raghunatha Sarma, Associate Dean for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at SSSIHL, on ‘Inner Navaratri: Awakening the Intellect through Buddhi Yoga’.
Drawing parallels between Navaratri and the teachings of the Bhagawad Gita, Dr Sarma explained how discrimination, detachment and noble virtues help one overcome negative tendencies and progress towards spiritual wisdom. Citing inspiring incidents from Bhagawan’s life and the Ramayana, he emphasised that pure love and total surrender are the pathways to divine grace.
The evening also featured Nadaswaram followed by a vibrant Burrakatha presentation by the students of the Prasanthi Nilayam campus. Titled ‘Sri Sathya Sai Divya Shakam’, the traditional Andhra folk performance traced the life and mission of Bhagawan, from His divine birth and Avatar Declaration to His transformative contributions in education, healthcare, drinking water and service, celebrating the eve of Avatar Declaration Day.
