Devi Navaratri Puja Commences in Prasanthi Nilayam with Sacred Kalasha Sthapana & Kumkuma Archana | Sep 22, 2025

Loving Sai Ram and Navaratri greetings from Prasanthi Nilayam.

With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the auspicious festival of Devi Navaratri commenced this sacred Monday morning in Prasanthi Nilayam, filling the holy precincts with divine fervour and spiritual radiance. The pleasant weather, graced with intermittent showers, added a refreshing touch to the serene ambience of Puttaparthi, as though nature herself joined in welcoming the Divine Mother.

The morning rituals began with the traditional Kalasha Sthapana, the ceremonial installation of the sacred Kalasha — beautifully adorned with mango leaves, auspicious symbols, and a coconut atop — invoking the presence of the Divine Mother as the embodiment of cosmic energy. This was followed by the offering of Kumkuma Archana, symbolising purity, devotion, and auspiciousness.

Resonating through the sanctified atmosphere of the Bhajan Mandir were the sacred vibrations of the Sahasranama and Ashtottara Shata Namavali — the chanting of the 1008 sacred names of the Goddess and Bhagawan. With every chant, hearts blossomed in devotion, invoking the benevolent grace of the Mother to shower peace, harmony, and welfare upon all creation.
