The serene evening of the auspicious Sri Rama Navami celebrations in Sai Kulwant Hall at Prasanthi Nilayam featured a musical offering presented by Ms Sreenidhi Venkatesh and her team, who rendered a heartfelt, ever-popular set of compositions of Saint Tyagaraja, Annamacharya, Bhadrachala Ramadas, Sadashiva Brahmendra, and Purandara Dasa.
Offering her humble salutations, Ms Sreenidhi shared that Lord Rama held a very special place in her mother’s heart, making this Rama Navami offering deeply significant. The occasion was especially emotional for her, as she had lost her mother just six months prior. She reflected that being called to perform at this sacred juncture was no coincidence, but a “full circle” moment—an expression of Swami’s boundless grace and divine orchestration. With deep reverence and gratitude, she recounted performing in His Divine Presence in Anantapur with her mother, who was herself an alumna of the Anantapur campus.
Featuring soulful renditions such as ‘Manavyalakinchara’, ‘Ra Ra Raghuveera’, ‘Janaki Ramana’, ‘Rama Mantrava Japiso’, ‘Takkuvemi Manaku’, and ‘Pibare Rama Rasam’, along with other bhajans and kirtans glorifying Lord Rama, beautifully unfolded the many facets of Lord Rama through a rich and evocative repertoire.
As the program progressed, the devotional fervour reached its peak, culminating in collective prayers for universal harmony and well-being. Bringing the divine evening to a fulfilling conclusion, by offering the popular Sai bhajan ‘Mythili Pate’, immersing all present in the blissful chanting of the Lord’s name.
