Unfolding as a sacred continuation of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s centenary-year initiatives, the Second Phase of the Gir Cows Distribution Program stood as a shining expression of thoughtful seva and long-term rural welfare. Building upon the success of Phase One, in which 27 Gir cows were distributed, this morning witnessed the joyful distribution of 37 healthy Gir cows, further strengthening the mission of sustainable livelihood support in the Sri Sathya Sai District.
The cows, along with their calves, were lovingly handed over to the beneficiaries at Sri Sathya Sai Gokulam by Mr RJ Rathnakar, Managing Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust. This initiative, conceived as part of Bhagawan’s Centenary Celebrations, reflects a deep understanding of service that uplifts not just individual farmers and their families, but the district at large—by ensuring the availability of pure, good-quality milk for citizens and devotees alike.
What makes this seva truly exemplary is its end-to-end care model. From prior vaccination and health assurance to structured follow-up, the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust has shouldered the entire responsibility, ensuring that beneficiaries receive support without any financial or logistical burden. With monthly monitoring and continued care, the program is designed to foster lasting socio-economic welfare, echoing Bhagawan’s timeless message that true service must be sustainable, compassionate, and transformative.
