With hearts full of devotion and gratitude, devotees from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia have gathered at the sacred abode of Prasanthi Nilayam for a five-day pilgrimage from July 19 to 24, as a humble and heartfelt offering in the Centenary Year of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. United by love for their Lord, they have come to offer their collective prayers, service, and spiritual sadhana at His divine lotus feet.
As part of this pilgrimage, the Balvikas children of the Middle East and Gulf region presented a spiritually uplifting drama titled Divya Ashta Pushparpanam. This soulful performance guided the audience from the external act of offering flowers to God to the deeper inner journey of transformation, drawing inspiration from Bhagawan’s divine discourse on the true meaning behind such offerings.
Swami explains that the flowers most pleasing to God are not those plucked from plants, but the virtues that bloom in the garden of the heart. These eight divine flowers are:
- Ahimsa – Nonviolence in thought, word, and deed
- Indriya Nigraha – Control of the senses through surrender and self-discipline
- Sarva Bhuta Daya – Compassion for all living beings
- Kshama – Forbearance in the face of hardship
- Shanti – Peace
- Tapas – Equanimity amidst both joy and sorrow
- Dhyanam – Constant contemplation of the Lord
- Satyam – Truth, the eternal and changeless principle
Drawing from the exemplary lives of Swami’s early devotees—Kamavadhani, Karanam Subamma, Kasturi, Raja Reddy, Peddabottu, Seshagiri Rao, and others—the children movingly depicted how their unwavering faith, surrender, and steady practice of Swami’s teachings earned His boundless love and grace.
Blending melodious compositions, expressive dance sequences, and inspiring storytelling, the children held the audience in rapt attention, filling Sai Kulwant Hall with an atmosphere of deep reverence and joy.
The drama concluded with a powerful reminder: that the highest form of offering is to live by Swami’s teachings—transforming ourselves from within so we may rise above the ordinary and attain the supreme goal of life.
