For a first-time visitor to Prasanthi Nilayam, every step within the sacred precincts can be a new experience. The joy of being in Bhagawan’s abode might be accompanied by a simple question: “Where is the place I am looking for?”
Making this journey easier and more comfortable for devotees, a new Path Finder Web App was launched this evening at Prasanthi Nilayam, with the divine blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Mr RJ Rathnakar, Managing Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, performed the honours on this holy Thursday.
Designed as a simple, accessible digital guide, the Path Finder helps devotees find their way to various locations within the Ashram with ease. No application needs to be downloaded. A devotee simply scans the QR code displayed on the signboards installed at 12 locations across the Ashram, and the guide opens directly in the web browser of the mobile phone.
The interface is designed with the first-time visitor in mind. Places can be searched by name or explored through different categories. Once a location is selected, the guide provides useful details such as the distance, approximate walking time, opening hours and a photograph of the destination. Most importantly, it offers walking directions from the visitor’s current location, making it easy to reach the desired place.
The Path Finder is available in English, Telugu and Hindi, making it accessible to devotees from different parts of India and the world. This initiative is yet another thoughtful step by the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust towards making every devotee’s visit to Prasanthi Nilayam simpler, smoother and more comfortable.
