“To whom much is given, much shall be expected.”
Truly, the Children of Sathya Sai (Alumni of Alike Institutions) stand blessed beyond measure — blessed by His love, His guidance, and the moral compass He so lovingly instilled in their hearts. Having received not merely education, but education anchored in values, character, and conscience, their lives remain aligned to a higher calling. It is this inner compass, shaped at the Divine feet, that constantly urges them to give back to society, to their alma mater, and to the very mission that moulded them.
The Sai Samarpanam program was solemnly and joyfully conducted on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Institutions, Alike, as part of the sacred Centenary Celebrations. The occasion marked a significant milestone in the institution’s journey with the dedication of the Shashikiran Shetty Educational Block, Alike, a humble yet monumental offering at the Lotus Feet of Bhagawan by the devoted alumni of Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Institutions, Alike.
The Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Girls’ Pre-University College, Alike, was inaugurated this morning by the Managing Trustee of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, Mr RJ Rathnakar, in the august presence of dignitaries and functionaries. Established in response to a heartfelt aspiration from the local community in and around Alike to provide value-based higher education for rural girl children in a safe, supportive, and spiritually enriched environment, it’s been entirely conceptualised, funded, and executed by the alumni, with support from donors. The project stands as a shining example of gratitude in action and a reaffirmation of faith in Bhagawan’s vision of education.
The formal proceedings began with prayers, invocation, and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, invoking divine grace and sanctity for the program. An update on alumni activities highlighted their sustained involvement in service initiatives, institutional development, and continued commitment to the mission of Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Institutions.
In his inspiring address, Mr Rathnakar reflected on Bhagawan’s pioneering vision for women’s education, recalling how Swami established His first educational institution for women as early as 1968, much ahead of its time. Drawing a meaningful parallel, he expressed how deeply privileged he felt to inaugurate this campus dedicated to the empowerment of rural girl children, calling it a natural continuation of Swami’s timeless mission. He lauded the extraordinary commitment of the alumni of the Alike institutions, noting with admiration how alumni spanning 25 batches had united selflessly to dedicate this noble initiative — a true labour of love valued at ₹8 crore. He described this collective offering – “Sai Samarpanam 2.0”, a heartfelt reunion bound by gratitude and service. Deeply moved by their sincerity, he shared with joy that, on this very stage, the alumni pledged their next ambitious endeavour, envisioning it as “Sai Samarpanam 3.0.” Acknowledging the purity of this effort, he affirmed that the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust would also collaborate and support this sacred initiative. He further appreciated the active involvement of the alumni in the day-to-day management of the Trust and humbly remarked that he himself is a proud member of the Children of Sathya Sai, the alumni association of the Alike institutions.
The program was further enriched by addresses from donors and distinguished guests, who shared their experiences, expressions of gratitude, and unwavering faith in Bhagawan’s mission. The occasion was graced by eminent Guests of Honour, including Mr Nilratan R Shende, Senior General Manager – CSR, Allcargo Logistics. Their presence added dignity and depth to the proceedings and reaffirmed collective support for value-based and character-driven education. The Sri Shashikiran Shetty Educational Block has been thoughtfully designed to support holistic learning, with twelve smart classrooms, fully equipped Physics, Chemistry, and Biology laboratories, a modern Computer Lab, a Digital Library, a serene Prayer Room, and ample outdoor play facilities, ensuring the all-round development of students. The institution stands firmly aligned with Bhagawan Baba’s concept of Educare — drawing out the inherent human values latent in every child.
Earlier in the morning, with the divine blessings of Bhagawan, the foundation stone was laid for a new prayer hall within the campus premises. Envisioned as the Sri Sai Narayana Convention Center, this sacred facility will serve as a spiritual and congregational space where over 2,000 children can assemble simultaneously for the daily morning assembly, prayers, and value-oriented gatherings. The proposed prayer hall stands as another meaningful step in strengthening the spiritual foundation of the institution and nurturing collective discipline, unity, and devotion among the students.
