The sacred three-day pilgrimage by devotees from the USA, belonging to the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council (SSSGC) – Zone 1, commenced this evening at Prasanthi Nilayam with a spiritually elevating opening session.
Prof Balu Karanam, National President of SSSGC-USA, expressed profound gratitude for the divine opportunity to be in Bhagawan’s presence. Marking their third pilgrimage to Prasanthi Nilayam in just four years, he joyously noted that while “GC” in SSSGC stands for Global Council, it truly represents God’s Company—good company in the truest sense. He emphasised that Bhagawan is the source, the force, and the goal of all their endeavours, and it was with deep reverence that they offered their heartfelt gratitude at His Lotus Feet in this auspicious Centenary Year.
Ms. Sumana Murali shed light on the educational initiatives of SSSGC-USA. She highlighted that, for the very first time, the Education Wing has developed a comprehensive, year-wise curriculum for Sri Sathya Sai Bal Vikas (SSE) children, covering all 12 years of their foundational learning journey. This structured, value-centric approach ensures that children receive holistic spiritual and character education deeply rooted in Swami’s teachings.
She also introduced the new SSE website, featuring searchable Balvikas e-books, parent resources like the Harmonious Homes series, and an intuitive card-based interface offering easy access to audio, video, and curated learning materials. The design ensures smooth navigation and centralised support for Gurus, parents, and students alike.
This was followed by the official launch of the Sri Sathya Sai Educare Curriculum, conducted by the Trustees, senior dignitaries and functionaries.
Adding further significance to the occasion was the release of 100 Years of Pure Love, a commemorative volume brought out by Zone 3 of SSSGC in honour of Bhagawan’s Centenary Year. The book was unveiled at the Divine Sannidhi by the esteemed Trustees and officials from SSSGC–Zone 3 (Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea).
