The Department of Performing Arts at SSSIHL presented ‘Sai Shiva Namostute’, a soulful musical offering at the Sai Kulwant Hall this evening that seamlessly blended technical mastery with deep devotion. The program commenced with an invocation to the Divine Mother through ‘Saraswati Ma,’ followed by the classic Thyagaraja Kriti ‘Shobhillu Saptaswara’ and a serene Hindustani ‘Chota Khyal’ in Raag Maru Bihag. The performance reached a vibrant peak with ‘Shankara Shiva Bhole’, featuring a dynamic solo by eight percussionists, before concluding with the energising ‘Shiv Shankar Ke Charano Mein’. Throughout the recital, the students demonstrated exceptional skill in classical improvisation, filling the atmosphere with a profound sense of peace and reverence for Lord Shiva.
