This afternoon, I returned to the Mandir to attend the Shivaratri ceremony again. As is happening these days, there is no place to find, I sat at the back leaning my back on the fence wall. During the ceremony, I am pervaded by precise and distinct sensations. In Italy, these sensations are decidedly weaker, but equally perceptible, but in the Mandir, they are decidedly stronger, to the point of completely annihilating my personality, resetting my mind and opening my soul. It makes me feel and try new experiences towards a new inner knowledge, making me concentrate and reflect on some aspects, putting in my mind, new teachings not yet written, precise to understand. Taking me to a higher “step”, on that ladder of spiritual enlightenment, I affirm this without any form of selfishness. These things are not purely causal, they are becoming a real habit, every time I enter the Mandir. I end with personal things, let’s go back to the Shivaratri ceremony. A ceremony full of spirituality, the songs, the prayers and the devotees create an atmosphere full of Holiness and emotions, which reach the soul. How much adoration, how much devotion, how much participation and how much emotion. A very characteristic element was the blessing of the devotees, a symbol of purification, a washing of the soul from the impurities acquired. Brahmins, dressed in red, equipped with a granule that they immersed in a basin, containing yellowish water, which was sprinkled on the devotees. They were followed by two other people, one carried the basin, the other carried a jug to fill the basin, when the water was finished. My amazement was to see the devotees, collect the drops that fell on the ground and rub their faces. When the Brahmin passed by me, I was inundated with water, at that moment I made the sign of the cross, saying Sai Ram
Say wonderful ceremony and say little, it will continue all night.
A big hug from the heart.
