As part of the momentous Centenary Celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, a historic 2-day Global Medical Conference is being convened, bringing together the entire medical fraternity under the divine canopy of His love. Doctors, paramedics, nurses, administrators, and volunteers from all the Sathya Sai hospitals and healthcare institutions functioning under the aegis of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust assembled in Prasanthi Nilayam to rededicate themselves to the sacred mission of selfless service through Medicare.
For over seven decades, since the humble beginnings of the first General Hospital established by Bhagawan in 1956, this unique model of healthcare has stood as a shining testimony to the power of compassionate love in healing, remarked Dr DC Sundaresh Dabir (Director, SSSIHMS-WFD) in his inaugural address. From general hospitals to super-specialty tertiary care centres, millions of lives have been touched and transformed, with no distinction of caste, creed, religion, or economic status. This system has not only treated disease but nurtured dignity, uplifted communities, and restored faith in the inherent goodness of humanity.
Recalling how Bhagawan guided him in running these institutions, Mr SS Naganand (Trustee, SSSCT) reflected on journeys of being instruments in His hands, reaffirming the collective resolve to serve with renewed spirit and unwavering commitment.
Esteemed Trustees of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust alongside revered doctors from medical institutions then offered 2 MoUs at the divine Sannidhi, that were signed between University of Chicago Medical Centre & SSSIHMS and Institute of Science Tokyo & SSSIHMS.
As the gathering resonated with gratitude for the opportunity to offer their skills at the Lotus Feet, it became evident that the Sathya Sai healthcare mission is not merely an organisation—it is a living movement of love in action.
The summit is organised by creating a platform for sharing experiences, best practices, and innovations that have evolved over decades of patient-centred care. Eminent speakers from India & abroad will be highlighting how Bhagawan’s guiding principles—free, holistic, and loving healthcare—can be replicated across geographies to create sustainable models of service that transcend conventional paradigms. Case studies from each institution would be illustrated how healthcare infused with devotion and empathy achieves outcomes far beyond material metrics.
In the centenary year of His Divine Advent, this coming together of hearts and minds heralds a new chapter of inspired service. United under one umbrella, the Sathya Sai medical fraternity pledged to continue this sacred endeavour with even greater dedication, ensuring that every patient who crosses their threshold receives not just treatment, but the warmth, respect, and divine love that Bhagawan Himself exemplified.
