Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini – Global Education Summit

June 25 – 2025

The Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini’s 3-Day Global Education Summit unfolded as a vibrant celebration of knowledge, compassion, and transformation, bringing together educators, thought leaders, and change-makers across the globe. Organised under the theme “Neurodiversity to Neuroplasticity,” this summit created a powerful platform to explore new frontiers in inclusive education, spotlighting the unique brilliance present in every child. The event inspired delegates and speakers alike to embrace Bhagawan’s message of oneness — seeing the Divine spark in all, especially those who are often overlooked — and to collectively work toward shaping a more caring and enlightened future for all students.

The sun had begun to dip gracefully below the horizon as delegates gathered once again at the Sai Hira Global Convention Centre, bringing with them a renewed sense of purpose and heartfelt devotion. Earlier this morning, the Pre-Summit Workshop on Cognitive Education for Diverse Learners had set the tone. With profound expertise and compassion, Dr Jeanne Zehr (Director, Feuerstein Programs, North America) and Dr Onita Nakra (Educational Counsellor, The American School of Dubai, UAE) illuminated the intricate nuances of the cognitive spectrum and its far-reaching implications for education.

As the evening session commenced, Ms Karuna Munshi, Director of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vahini (SSSVV), took the stage with grace and humility. On behalf of over a thousand dedicated volunteers who serve the project, she offered heartfelt gratitude to Bhagawan for inspiring this transformative initiative. Her words spoke volumes of a movement that has already touched countless rural hearts, lifting children across Central and State syllabi through its vibrant digital library.

A significant milestone was marked this evening with the signing of a second Memorandum of Understanding between IIT Madras and SSSVV. Representing IIT(M) was Mr Shankar Vishwanathan, who exchanged the MoU with Sri RJ Rathnakar (Managing Trustee, SSSCT) and Sri ISN Prasad (Trustee, SSSCT). This collaboration expands the reach of the IIT(M)-led rural outreach program, “Vidya Shakti,” which will now leverage SSSVV’s 40,000+ digital assets to support millions of government school students in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, and Delhi — enabling them to receive world-class online tutoring, and empowering their minds to scale new heights.

Yet the most soul-stirring moments of the evening unfolded in a program that melted all hearts. A speaker once remarked that talent is a “gift of God,” to which Swami lovingly corrected him on the spot — “talent itself is God.” That sacred teaching resonated ever more deeply today as the visually challenged Mr Rithwik took the stage and captivated everyone with his melodious voice. Following this, Mr. Aditya Venkatesh, an autistic (artistic) and incredibly gifted keyboard enthusiast, enchanted the audience with his powerful performance that moved every soul present to tears.

Though these exceptional individuals may appear to the world as ‘different,’ tonight illuminated the divine light within each one of them — they are, without a doubt, God’s own manifestations. Our task is simply to recognise and honour that divinity.

As a fitting close to this transcendental evening, Meta AI-powered smart glasses were distributed to deserving beneficiaries. Inspired by Swami’s universal message of seeing all with divine vision, these smart glasses will empower them with the tools they need to learn and connect — a revolutionary step toward making education even more accessible and inclusive.
