Ugadi Celebrations at Prasanthi Nilayam | Panchanga Shravanam | Mar 19, 2026

Extending heartfelt wishes to one and all on the joyous occasion of Ugadi, the sacred festival that heralds the New Year and new beginnings, Prasanthi Nilayam was suffused with a serene yet vibrant spiritual fervour as devotees gathered in large numbers to welcome the auspicious day.

The proceedings in Sai Kulwant Hall commenced with the chanting of Vedic hymns, invoking divine blessings for the year ahead. This was followed by the Panchanga Shravanam, the traditional almanac reading, presented by Dr Vedantam Rajagopala Chakravarthy. With remarkable clarity and depth, he highlighted the subtle nuances and inner significance of the Panchanga Shastra, guiding devotees to respond to life’s situations with awareness rather than react impulsively.

Through beautiful analogies, insightful anecdotes, and practical remedial measures, he encouraged all to face every situation arising in this Parabhava Samvatsaram with a positive outlook. Emphasising preparedness of the mind, he urged devotees to accept challenges gracefully, keeping constant Bhagawan Nama Smaranam in both heart and mind as the guiding force.

As we usher in these new beginnings, the celebrations served as a gentle reminder to turn inward and anchor ourselves in His love. Let us pray to Bhagawan to hold us ever close, as we immerse ourselves in His divine mission with renewed faith and dedication.
