Vidyarthyaham Sayeeshwarasya – Gratitude Program by students from Prasanthi Nilayam Campus | Mar 20, 2025

Every year, the gratitude programs reach new heights as fresh batches of students offer their latent talents at the divine lotus feet. This evening, the passing-out boys from the postgraduate and undergraduate batches of the Prasanthi Nilayam campus expressed their heartfelt gratitude through a soulful offering of devotional songs, interwoven with touching narrations of their experiences.

When faced with doubts, where do we turn? How do we seek Swami’s guidance when He is not physically with us? The students beautifully addressed these profound questions by portraying the ‘Chit System’ followed in the Senior Boys’ Hostel—where a box containing Bhagawan’s messages is placed near the altar, and picking a chit with a prayerful heart brings solace and direction. Inspired by this practice, the program seamlessly blended deep devotion with multifaceted talents, featuring mesmerising performances on nadaswaram, panchavadyam, brass band, and newly composed melodies.

A standout moment of the evening was the captivating shadow play presentation, synchronised with Bhagawan’s divine padyam – “Wherever we may be, Swami will always be with us.” The artistic finesse of the students shone through in every detail, from intricately designed cards bursting with vibrant colours to a creatively crafted digital tablet with headphones, carved out of thermocol, placed reverently at Swami’s throne. As each song unfolded, students would ‘change the playlist’ by flipping a lyrics sheet, symbolising the ever-present connection with Swami through music and devotion.

Adding to the uniqueness of the presentation, the students drew inspiration from the iconic stage setup of TED Talks, creating a special display with the words HE & HIS. This striking visual representation served as the backdrop where speakers came forward to share their personal experiences and heartfelt gratitude, making the offering even more profound and impactful.

Through every note sung, every word uttered, and every prayer whispered, the students sought to express their eternal gratitude to the one who has shaped their lives and continues to guide their every step.

The climax of the program was a resounding declaration of devotion when the students proclaimed: “We will carry Your love in our hearts. With every step and every breath, we will strive to live by Your ideals—to be worthy of Your love. Swami, just as Hanuman declared, ‘Dasoham Kausalendrasya,’ we, Your students, take pride in proclaiming: ‘Vidyarthyaham Sayeeshwarasya’ – We are students of Lord Sai.”

This unique and heartfelt offering was not merely an expression of gratitude—it was a reaffirmation of the eternal bond between Bhagawan and His students, a relationship that transcends time and space, guiding them in every moment of their lives.
