Since yesterday afternoon, a new air has been felt in Prasanthi Nilayam for the beginning of a new event. A high traffic of insistent cars entering from the main gate of the Ashram, accompanied by numerous buses, full of people. Doing the math, the population seems to have doubled in Prasanthi Nilayam. In the Mandir, there is no longer any availability to find a place. It was estimated, at the closing of the Ati Rudra Maha Yajnam, that about fifteen thousand people entered the Mandir, as reported by the official figure on the internal giant screen. Surely this figure will be exceeded, given the multitude of entries. Even though the Brahmins have left, there is still a mystical air here. After the Brahmins left Prasanthi Nilayam, the new arrangements were made in the Mandir. Sevadals worked all night, embellishing the entire Temple; even with their green bananas. Now, I am waiting for witnessing this great wonder for the festival of Shivaratri, which promises to be particular and special.

As if I had to see or hear or feel, a new life experience, a new teaching to understand more of spirituality. I entered the Mandir around 07:45, already unable to find a seat, on my usual bench, I had to settle for sitting on the floor, leaning my back against an inner column. With much physical suffering, but I know very well that suffering is part and parcel of spirituality.Towards the end of the Mandir. People kept entering until the point, that at 09:20 the Mandir was completely full, all the entrance gates were closed, there was no more room even on the ground with crossed legs. I have never seen so many people. Outside, there was still a throng of people pushing and shoving their way in. Inside, big fans were turned on, and the central plastic cover opened, to ventilate the whole temple. So far I describe all the material part of the event, try to imagine all the spiritual part. Today is the closing day of the Ati Rudra Maha Yajnam event, hundreds of Brahmins in the central aisle, chanting mantras, prayers, emitting celestial vibrations into the air, inducing feelings of ecstasy in the listener.
