Sri Sathya Sai Mandir Inaugurated in Ludhiana | October 27, 2026

With the divine blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, a new Sai Mandir was inaugurated at Thakur Colony, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana, on October 27, 2026, marking a significant milestone in the spiritual and service activities of the Sri Sathya Sai Mission in Punjab.

Constructed in its entirety by Lieutenant General Mehra and his wife, Mrs Asha Mehra, the beautifully designed Mandir offers a serene space for prayer, meditation and spiritual reflection. The premises house a sanctum dedicated to Bhagawan, a separate temple for Lord Shiva, a small auditorium and a Sarva Dharma Stupa symbolising the unity of all religions. Surrounded by landscaped gardens, colourful plants and trees, the Mandir reflects the ideals of peace, harmony and universal love.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Mr RJ Rathnakar, Managing Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, along with Mr Nimish Pandya, All India President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations. The proceedings were enriched by cultural dances and performances presented by Bal Vikas students from Punjab, reflecting the spirit of devotion and the values-based education inspired by Bhagawan.

Extending the spirit of worship into meaningful service, two community welfare initiatives were also inaugurated on this occasion. A Free Gynaecological Mobile Clinic, equipped with a Mobile Pathology Laboratory, will help bring essential healthcare services to women, particularly those in rural and underserved communities. A Sanitary Pad Machine will facilitate the free distribution of sanitary pads to village women and girls, complemented by awareness sessions on menstrual health and personal hygiene.

The new Mandir thus stands as more than a place of worship. It aspires to be a centre for spiritual growth, cultural expression and selfless service, bringing the community together through the practice of Bhagawan’s timeless teachings. Through this harmonious blend of devotion and humanitarian service, the Sri Sathya Sai Mandir in Ludhiana gives expression to Bhagawan’s universal message, “Love All, Serve All” — inspiring all to lead lives of love, compassion and service to society.
