The Divine precincts of Sai Kulwant Hall reverberated with gratitude and celebration today as over 750 students, alumni, teachers, and well-wishers of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar (SSSVV), Hyderabad, gathered at the Divine Sannidhi of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba to commemorate the institution’s Golden Jubilee.
Founded by Bhagawan on June 24, 1976, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar holds the distinction of being the first Sri Sathya Sai School established outside Prasanthi Nilayam. Over the past five decades, it has stood as a shining embodiment of Bhagawan’s Educare philosophy, seamlessly blending academic excellence with character development.
A special feature of the celebrations was the release of commemorative publications chronicling the school’s fifty-year journey of value-based education. Former principals, administrators, and distinguished contributors who played a pivotal role in shaping the institution were also felicitated by revered dignitaries in recognition of their dedicated service.
Presenting a report on the institution’s remarkable journey, Dr Gopi Krishna Pidatala, Convenor, SSSVV, highlighted the school’s steady growth, academic achievements, and commitment to holistic education rooted in Sathya Sai values. Ms Purna Padmaja Nadella, Principal, outlined several Golden Jubilee initiatives, including infrastructure expansion, solar electrification of the campus, and the inauguration of a renovated, centrally air-conditioned auditorium.
The cultural highlight was the dance drama ‘Devudu Malachina Shilpalu’ (God-Carved Sculptures), portraying the transformative journey of an orphaned child nurtured through the loving care, value-based education, and spiritual guidance imparted at Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar. Through music, dance, and compelling storytelling, the presentation beautifully illustrated how Bhagawan’s educational institutions mould young minds into responsible citizens and compassionate human beings.
