Dedication of Renovated Premises at Coimbatore | Oct 22, 2026

With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, on this auspicious Thursday, Mr RJ Rathnakar, Managing Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, Prasanthi Nilayam, visited the Kuniyamuthur Samiti and Race Course Mandir in Coimbatore, inaugurating a new healthcare facility and dedicating renovated premises to the continued service of Bhagawan’s mission.

At Kuniyamuthur Samiti, the recently renovated building has been thoughtfully equipped to accommodate over 60 students from various departments of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning visiting Coimbatore as part of their annual industrial visits. Originally established as a centre for Bal Vikas classes and monthly medical camps, the Samiti continues to serve the local community through regular bhajans, Narayana Seva and Nagar Sankeertan. During his visit, Mr Rathnakar inaugurated the Sai Kripa Dispensary, further strengthening the healthcare services rendered to the community.

Thereafter, he visited the Race Course Mandir, the oldest Samiti in Coimbatore and a landmark in the history of Bhagawan’s divine mission in the region. Bhagawan Himself had visited and inaugurated this centre during one of His visits to Coimbatore nearly five decades ago. Addressing the devotees gathered at the Samiti, Mr Rathnakar fondly recalled how blessed he was to have been part of Bhagawan’s entourage during Swami’s visit to the premises, cherishing the precious memories of that Divine visit.

The Mandir has recently undergone extensive renovation to meet the growing needs of devotees and facilitate the expanding service and administrative activities of the Organisation. The renovated premises feature enhanced facilities for devotees, dedicated car parking, separate kitchens, accommodation for the caretaker, a book stall and the District Administrative Office. The centre continues to serve as the focal point of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations in Coimbatore.

With heartfelt prayers at the Lotus Feet of Bhagawan, the renovated Mandir has been named Sai Chaitanyam, marking a new chapter in the centre’s journey of devotion and service.
