मद्भक्ता यत्र गायन्ति तत्र तिष्ठामि नारद – Mad Bhakta Yatra Gayanti, Tatra Tishthāmi Nārada
As we approach the sacred Aradhana Mahotsavam in this Centenary Year of Bhagawan, here is yet another soulful and divine offering by the devotees of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, India, in association with Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust titled Sai Sahasranāma Hāram – Sai Premāmruta Sāram.
The evening proceedings commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp in front of Bhagawan’s Sannidhi by
Sri K Chakravarthi (Chairman, SSSGC) and Sri RJ Rathnakar (Managing Trustee, SSSCT). Sri Jayakumar then addressed the gathering on the significance of this event. This offering, inspired by a unique devotional initiative at Sai Prem, Navi Mumbai in 2016, where a suitable bhajan was offered for each Divine Name, has now beautifully expanded to 1008 bhajans. Each bhajan resonates with the inner significance of one of the 1008 names of Bhagawan in the Sai Sahasranāma. This garland of devotion has been presented at seven different locations across the country. At every offering, Bhagawan’s omnipresence was tangibly felt through signs, blessings, and inner assurance acknowledging the heartfelt efforts of His devotees.
Now, with abundant blessings from our beloved Bhagawan, this sacred offering is being presented at Prasanthi Nilayam from 15th April to 22nd April 2025 by over 900 singers and instrumentalists across 21 bhajan groups. For one full week, Prasanthi Nilayam will resonate with the 1008 Divyanāma Saptāham – a majestic celebration of the Divine Name through music soaked in love and surrender.
The inaugural session also featured the chanting of the sacred Sri Sathya Sai Ashtottara Shata Nāmāvali followed by Sri Sathya Sai Ashtottara Shata Nāmañjali and then a devotional segment consisting of 9 soulful bhajans. All 1008 bhajans offered during this Divyanāma Saptāham are unique – with no repetition – each dedicated exclusively to a specific Divine Name of Bhagawan.
