Kalasha Sthapana & Kumkuma Archana | Devi Navaratri Pooja | Oct 11, 2026

Loving Sai Ram and Navaratri greetings from Prasanthi Nilayam!

With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the auspicious Devi Navaratri celebrations commenced this morning at Prasanthi Nilayam with the sacred rituals of Kalasha Sthapana and Kumkuma Archana inside the Bhajan Mandir.

The serene atmosphere resonated with sacred chants and devotional fervour as devotees gathered to welcome nine days of worship dedicated to the Divine Mother.

The morning commenced with the traditional Kalasha Sthapana, the ceremonial installation of the sacred Kalasha, adorned with mango leaves, auspicious symbols and a coconut. Revered as a representation of the Divine Mother and the source of cosmic energy, the Kalasha signifies the sanctity of creation and the all-pervading presence of the Divine.

This was followed by the sacred Kumkuma Archana, an offering of vermilion in loving reverence to the Divine Mother. The chanting of the Sahasranama (1008 sacred names) and Ashtottara Shata Namavali (108 sacred names) of the Goddess and Bhagawan filled the Bhajan Mandir with divine vibrations, as prayers were offered for universal peace, harmony and the welfare of all beings.

With the commencement of these sacred rituals, the spiritual fervour of Dasara unfolds in Prasanthi Nilayam, with the Navaratri Pooja to be performed every day throughout the celebrations. May the Divine Mother’s grace illumine every heart, strengthen the spirit of devotion and usher in peace and prosperity for all. As Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba has always emphasised, the true significance of worship lies in transforming devotion into righteous living and loving service to all.

Samasta Lokah Sukhino Bhavantu! May all the worlds be happy!
